I unerstand people asking for shorter time but you're going to lose the link with hystoricals world champions. If you win in a serie of shorter time game you're not the succesor of Capablanca, Fisher, Kasparov, etc.. (and even Magnus by the way). Why not, but it's a little sad since the greatest players was considered the ones playing this kind of tournament.

There is a certain gentleness and innocence in his character. I remember seeing videos of him playing and he was trembling trying to grab a piece to move, his nerves were so strained he just couldn't hide it. He is a brilliant player when he is really comfortable and happy to be there. But it seems that when he is under great pressure he is sickened by it. I am unsure how this dichotomy plays out in such high level competition. i wish him great luck and peace in his life.

I think America did him dirty by banning him and making him a fugitive. We could have had many more amazing games from him. Here we are basically at war with Russia today but yet we let women go over there and play basketball and yet Fischer couldn't play a chess game. It is just a game and he lost his country for a board with 64 squares. That wasn't right at all!
